Bismillahirrahmanirrahim
May this post be beneficial and insightful to readers.
WEEK 2
In week to we have learnt about Hadith Jibril. It is a very known and famous hadith. It taught us about the important stages in the path towards Allah.
Jibril A.S came dressing in a very nice and clean way and sat respectfully and humbly in front of the Prophet SAW, what we can learn from this is that this is the etiquettes of a student. Show up to classes looking clean and care for the cleanliness of our surroundings. We are also obliged to respect the person who will be giving us the knowledges and be humble.
Jibril then asked Rasulullah SAW about Islam, Iman and Ihsan.
As we know, the pillars of Islam are
1) Syahadah that there is no other god except Allah and Rasulullah s.a.w is the last messenger of Allah
2) Perform Solat
3)Pay the Zakat
4) Fast during the month of Ramadan
5) Perform Hajj if we are able to.
All of the mention pillars has its purposes. We are only able to attain the true meaning of happiness, attain tranquility when we have submit to Allah and learn the ways of the prophet. Performing our daily prayers will help us stay on the right path of Allah. We will also be able to achieve better self-control during the Holy month of Ramadan as we will fast from food, drinks, bad deeds and many more. We are also obliged to give zakat to help those in need and less fortunate which will actually lead to balance in this world. Lastly we are to perform hajj when we are able to, visiting the holy land of Makkah with all the other Muslims from around the world will help us achieve the brotherhood in Islam.
As narrated in the hadith, the pillars of Iman, We as Muslims believe in Allah and His angels and His Books and His Messengers and in the Last Day and in fate whether in good or bad aspects.
It is also mentioned in the Hadith about Ihsan. It is easy for us to do the prayers and other ibadah but is it easy for us to pray with full focus and concentration? Do we pray because we fear Allah or we fear the fact that we will be scolded by our parents or others if we do not pray? In the hadith it mentioned that Ihsan means To worship Allah as if you see Him and if you do not, know that Allah sees you. It is definite that Allah is the All-Seeing thus, we are to pray sincerely for the sake of worshipping Allah.
It is also mentioned in the hadith regarding The Hour and its signs, it is referring to the occurrence of the Last Day which is only know to Allah SWT but the Prophet mentioned about the signs that shows that the Day is undeniably near to us.
In conclusion, we are able to learn a lot about Islam from this hadith, it includes within it all the inwardly beliefs and outwardly actions. Many things were able to be taken out by the scholars from this hadith and in fact some scholars have termed this Hadith the Core of the Sunnah.
