Week 4: Believe in Rusul wal Anbiya, Qiyamah and Qada wa Qadr
Assalamualaikum wr wb
Bismillahirrahmanirrahim
In this. week’s post we will be continuing about the rest of the pillars of Islam. In the previous week we have talked about Believing in Allah, his angels and scriptures. In this post we will be talking about the beliefs in His Messengers, the day of judgment and fate and destiny.
Believing in the messengers of Allah is very important as they are the ones who spread the message to their people. The muslim ummah as of today will not be existing without Prophet Muhammad s.a.w spreading Islam. The prophets are also human like us and they were chosen by Allah to spread the message of Allah to their people. There are 25 messengers that were mentioned in the Quran. The number of prophets and messengers whom was chosen by Allah are not very clear to us. Prophets and Messengers of Allah peace be upon them, plays a huge role in the spreading of Islam as they have sacrificed a lot in the sake of their ummah.
We are also to believe in the day of Judgment. We do not know when it will happen but there are signs that we can look out for. There are minor signs which indicates that the time is very near for example, very tall buildings, people dressing up like the poor and so on. There are major signs that indicates that the time is here such as the sun rising from the west. We do not know when it will happen but as muslims we are to believe and prepare ourselves for it to come as on the day we will know where we will be going in the hereafter which is either the Heaven or Hellfire. May Allah guide us all.
It is part of our faith to believe in Fate and destiny whether good or bad. Everything that has happened or will happen has been written down for each one of us. The day we will die, to whom we are getting married to and all of our life journey has been written down for us. When we believe things happened because it was destined to be that way it gives us a sense of peace. We have the mind to choose between things but we are still obliged to believe in Fate and destiny.
In conclusion, when we have the foundation in our hearts which is our Iman laid down properly our sayings and actions will also come from the heart. As the definition of Iman as to believe with one’s heart to confess with the tongue and to demonstrate in their actions.
May this post be beneficial to its readers. Wallahu a’lam bissawab.
