Week 5: Ihsan and Islamic Eschatology

 Assalamualaikum wr wb

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim

This week’s post we will be talking about Ihsan and Islamic eschatology.

Ihsan means perfection and having Ihsan is the Muslim responsibility to obtain perfection, or excellence, in worship, such that Muslims try to worship God as if they see Him, and although they cannot see him, they undoubtedly believe that He is constantly watching over them. That definition comes from the Hadith Jibril. We as muslims when we do things we do it in the best manner and put in all our efforts, for example when we have a job, we work not just because we have to but instead we work because Allah allows us to provide rizq in for ourselves and our family so it actually a favour from Allah swt. May Allah allow us to be  mukhsinin.

We also covered about Islamic eschatology. What is Eschatology? Eschatology is the part of theology concerned with death, judgement, and the final destiny of the soul and of humankind. So in Islamic Eschatology, on the Last Day, when the world will come to an end, the dead will be resurrected and a judgment will be pronounced on every person in accordance with his deeds. There are Minor and Major signs of the Day of Resurrection. There will be the emergence of Masih Ad-daajjal, Yajuj and Majuj. It will be the day of destructions and then The Mahdi and with the assistance of Prophet Isa will then establish a period of peace and abolish cruelty and injustice and which will be followed by the end of the world in other words Day of Judgement.

In conclusion, we as muslims have to do our ibadah and all our responsibilities in the best of our capabilities. Our actions are always seen by Allah even though we are not able to see Him. Our actions will then be judged on the Last day.

May this post be beneficial to its readers. Wallahu A’lam Bissawab.
