Week 6: Adab
Assalamulaikum wr wb
Bismillahirrahmanirrahim
Adab is one of the most important things a muslim needs to have. In fact not only muslims but also non muslims. With adab, you are most likely to be respected and loved by many as it is beautiful to be respectful of others. Adab is the decoration of ourselves. With a pretty face only we cannot really go far. We have to take care of our adab towards everyone and everything even towards animals.
Firstly is our Adab towards our parents. We need to do our best and be in our best behaviours towards our parents. They do not deserve less, if they receive less than perfection from us it is wrong. We are in this world through them. Allah will not be please with us if our parents are not pleased. That is why Adab towards our parents is very important. Do our best to make them happy and assist them in everything.
Secondly is our Adab towards our neighbours. It is crucial for us to have good ties with our neighbours and be considerate of them as they are the ones physically near to us so they will be the first to assist us whenever we are in danger. It is also advised to making sure that we have good neighbours before purchasing a house but it is also not very easy to find out hence when we have inconsiderate neighbours instead of doing the same be patient and continue being a good neighbour.
Lastly, our adab during online classes as a student. Prior to the pandemic, we conducted lessons in class so the teachers are able to see us clearly when we do not behave as we should but during online classes we are not seen. It is our responsibility to be respectful of teachers even if we are not seen by them. Do not talk in class and hand our work on time and always be attentive during lessons. It is our Amanah as students to have adab towards our teachers especially as they are the ones who will be giving us the knowledge.
In conclusion, adab is so important that it is much more important than knowledge. Without adab, life will not be very easy as it will only spread hatred and anger in the community.
May this post be beneficial to its readers. Wallahu a’lam bissawab.
